Position Title: Business Analyst - MarTech Optimization

JobOverview:

We are seeking a specialized Business Analyst with strong data literacy & digital marketing expertise to drive requirements definition and stakeholder alignment for Marketing Technology Optimization initiative. This role bridges marketing operations, digital analytics, data engineering, and vendor ecosystems to integrate Adobe Analytics, and other marketing data into a Data Warehouse on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate combines traditional BA excellence with technical savviness, translates complex marketing data requirements into actionable technical specifications for data engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities Requirements & Business Analysis



  • Conduct structured discovery sessions with Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Data Science, and IT stakeholders to elicit comprehensive data requirements
  • Facilitate requirements workshops to understand campaign metadata, clickstream data, and attribution needs
  • Distinguish between business requirements and technical/system requirements, ensuring clear traceability from business goals to implementation
  • Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and Technical Requirements aligned with customer's documentation standards
  • Define data-centric requirements including data definitions, KPIs, reporting needs, campaign structures, and funnel measurement expectations
  • Create comprehensive requirement traceability matrices linking business objectives to data sources, transformations, and consumption layers Digital Marketing & Analytics Domain Expertise
  • Translate marketing KPIs (conversion rates, attribution models, customer lifetime value) into measurable data requirements
  • Understand and document clickstream concepts including visits, sessions, ECIDs, identity stitching, and cross-device tracking
  • Define funnel measurement requirements across awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention stages
  • Elicit requirements for UTM parameter tracking, audience segmentation, creative performance measurement, and multi-touch attribution
  • Understand media agency reporting expectations and translate them into Data warehouse consumption layer specifications Data Flow Analysis and Integration Mapping
  • Document end-to-end data flows from source systems (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Sitecore) through GCP ingestion to BigQuery
  • Map data elements from marketing platforms to dimensional models and consumption semantic layers
  • Identify data quality requirements, validation rules, and reconciliation points across multi-source integrations
  • Define data governance requirements including PII handling, consent management, and regulatory compliance Facilitation and Documentation * Present findings and recommendations to leadership, articulating business value and implementation approaches
  • Build consensus across internal teams on requirement scope, acceptance criteria, and delivery timelines
  • Document user journeys showing clickstream paths, attribution touchpoints, and conversion funnel stages
  • Maintain data dictionaries and glossaries defining marketing metrics, dimensions, and business terminology
  • Refine requirements iteratively based on feedback from development teams and evolving business needs



Required Qualifications



  • 7+ years of business analysis experience with focus on data-intensive initiatives and digital transformation
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms, campaign management, and marketing analytics, with a deep understanding of web analytics concepts and marketing measurement frameworks
  • Proven experience writing comprehensive BRDs, functional specifications, use cases, and user stories Experience with requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Enterprise Architect)
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and BA role in agile delivery
  • Strong data literacy with ability to understand data models, schemas, and integration patterns
