Your Role at Cabot:

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Corporate Tax team located at the Boston, MA headquarters office.

This is a key position supports the Company's global tax function by leading the tax accounting and reporting process, and focuses on U.S. Federal, State and International tax matters including income tax provision (ASC 740), deferred tax reconciliation and income tax payable analysis.

The role is based in Boston, MA, but is eligible to follow the current Flexible Working Arrangement / Hybrid model (Monday/Friday remote and Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in-office).

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Prepare quarterly/annual income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 740)

  • Prepare and reconcile effective tax rate, deferred tax roll forwards, income tax payable and uncertain tax positions

  • Prepare tax related disclosures in the financial statement for SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q)

  • Provide technical research and analysis for complex tax accounting matters

  • Prepare SOX control workpaper related to tax processes and ensure compliance with internal control requirement

  • Maintain effective internal controls to support SOX compliance, working closely with internal and external auditors

  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency

  • Serve as the main point of contact for income tax related questions from external auditors

What You Will Bring to Cabot:
  • University degree in Finance/ Accounting required

  • 5+ years of corporate income tax experience with strong expertise inASC 740andUS GAAP

  • CPA designation

  • Multinational corporationor largepublic accounting firm preferred

  • Strong understanding of ASC 740 and U.S. corporate income taxation

  • Experience with CorpTax software or similar tax software is highly desirable

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment

  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • The pay range for this role is from $108,800-$149,600. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skill, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, all positions are eligible for health benefits on the first day of employment, 401K savings plans, vision, dental and annual bonus based on company performance.
