Summary of Job Duties:The Neurodiagnostic Technologist is responsible for conducting procedures including, but not limited to, electroencephalograms (EEG), nerve conduction studies, (NCS), EMGs and electronystagmograms (ENG) , intraoperative monitoring, and clipping and archiving studies. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with a demonstrated willingness to complete on-the-job training and develop relevant skills.
  • Must be willing to become Registered EEG Technologist through ABRET within 5 years of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Basic Life Support
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • EEG tech experience
    • R. EEG T through ABRET
    • Greater that one year experience in Neurodiagnostic Lab or related field. Licenses, certificates, or registration

    Special knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • critical thinking
    • attention to detail

    Additional Information:

    Responsibilities:

    • Timely completion of daily patient testing, accurate documentation and charges of patient testing, and physical maintenance of clinical testing equipment.
    • Perform standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic procedures, including all aspects of EEG multiple modalities of evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, quantitative sensory testing, and epilepsy monitoring.
    • Follow and comply with departmental/lab policies and protocols as well as follow protocols for all procedures performed.
    • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the testing rooms/ and patient rooms, prepares testing rooms with clean linen and all necessary equipment and supplies, ensures the proper care and sterilization of reusable electrodes, testing rooms and associated areas.
    • Follow and comply with departmental/lab policies and protocols as well as follow protocols for all procedures performed.
    • Performs testing as a member of the Neurosciences healthcare team, and at all times works to ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy and performs

    Other duties as required.
