Job Description

Summary:

To manage inventory, organize stock, and distribute parts and supplies for equipment maintenance. Maintain PM program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inventory Control: Receiving, stocking, organizing (min/max levels), issuing, and tracking parts and tools.
  • Distribution: Promptly issuing parts and equipment to maintenance and operations staff
  • Record Keeping: Log transactions, maintain inventory records, and process purchase orders (POs).
  • Ordering: Monitoring stock levels, identifying needs, and initiating purchase requests for replenishment.
  • Organization: Keeping the parts room clean, secure, and systematically arranged for efficiency.
  • Maintain SDS system as needed for inventory of chemicals
  • Support: Communicating with other departments, assisting with parts inventory cycle counts, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Schedule and assign PM's and work orders. Modify as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling projects

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or minimum of six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to identify and resolve problems.
