Accounting Manager

Hunter Hamilton is partnering with a leading organization to identify a seasoned Accounting Manager for a high-impact contract role supporting general accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit activities. This is a temporary opportunity (3+ months) offering meaningful responsibility, strong visibility, and the chance to make an immediate impact in a complex accounting environment.

  Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses

  Support quarterly and year-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and financial controls audits

  Assess existing accounting practices and procedures, recommending and implementing process improvements

  
  
• 
  

  Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

  
  
• 
  

  Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by leadership

  
  
• 
  

  Supervise and manage general ledger accounting activities

  Lead and develop accounting staff through performance management, goal setting, coaching, and ongoing training

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred

  
  
• 
  

  7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong corporate accounting background

  
  
• 
  

  Expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls

  
  
• 
  

  Prior people management or team leadership experience

  
  
• 
  

  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems

  
  
• 
  

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  
  
• 
  

  Big 4 and CPA experience highly preferred

  
  
• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment
