Principal Design Checker

Belcan is looking for a Certified GDT Checker. This position will be in the Indianapolis office with the opportunity for remote capability a couple of days a week after re-evaluation at six months. This will be a direct full-time position with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have a minimum of five years experience checking Product Definition with ASME Y14.5 Senior level GDTP competence (certification is expected at this level). You will be working with engineers to help design, draft, and review form fit and function. Typical components would include complex (non-axisymmetric, asymmetric) casings, intermediate casings, blades / vanes, structures, bearing housings, complex fabrications, etc. Components that requiring a great amount of design intent interpretation and line-up work to develop the required component definition.

Job Duties:
Product Definition Checking
ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T implementation
Participate in Design Approval Process meetings
Communication skills both written and verbal

Requirements:
ASME Y14.5 Senior level GDTP competence (certification is expected at this level)
Five years Product Definition checking minimum
Following guidelines, standards, and procedures
U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teamcenter 12
NX software
Model Based Definition
Aerospace background is preferred

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $92,000 to $106,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
