Job Description:

The Senior IT Manager for Change Management and Project Management Office is responsible for driving organizational transformation through effective change management strategies and ensuring successful delivery of IT projects. This role oversees the Project Management Office, establishes governance frameworks, and aligns initiatives with business objectives to maximize value and minimize risk. This role ensures successful delivery of complex technology programs, fosters adoption of new processes and systems, and aligns IT projects with enterprise objectives. This position will champion digital transformation, innovation, and a culture of agility across the organization. The position serves as a key liaison between IT leadership, business stakeholders, and project teams to foster a culture of agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Project Management Office, establishing governance frameworks and portfolio management processes.
  • Oversee the project and work intake process to ensure the alignment of IT projects with business priorities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and value delivery.
  • Define and execute the global change management strategy for IT and business initiatives.
  • Develop and implement change management plans to support the adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Partner with business units to assess change impacts and design communication, training, and engagement strategies.
  • Establish PMO standards, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), and best practices.
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with risk, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project portfolio performance, including prioritization, budgeting, and vendor oversight.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on change and project management matters.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and resolve escalated issues impacting delivery.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders with clarity and transparency.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of project managers and change management professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the PMO and with business partners.
  • Work with the business process owners to standardize the technology platform and support processes for regional and global IT systems
  • Develop proposals, statements of work, business requirements documents, resource planning and project plans
  • Drive process automation and effective management to replace manual operations and create efficiencies
  • Drive IT risk, security, and compliance awareness as part of the project and ongoing business processes.
  • Support the business stakeholders in management and definition of business requirements for systems including enhancements and new functions
  • Identify and manage risks and issues proactively, including resources, costs, and systems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Review and assist in the development and delivery of system and process training to the user community through webinars, videos, knowledge base, and other employee engagement practices
  • Define and publish regular IT Project and change management metrics and KPIs
  • Monitor change readiness and adoption metrics, reporting progress to executive leadership.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: (minimum education requirements, key skills and experience)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technology, engineering, aviation/transportation, or computer science field or relevant experience

Experience:

  • 15+ years' of experience within Information Technology: supporting systems, people and processes
  • Experience leading, managing, and delivering projects, managing both external clients/stakeholders and internal leaders and project teams
  • Extensive experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365), ITSM tools (ServiceNow), HRIS (Workday) and PPM tools (MS Project, Planner, Monday).
  • Experience with managing and leading Projects
  • Expertise in Project Management concepts (certification preferred)
  • Experience with the Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, especially around Change & Release Management
  • Experience with IT organizational and business change management concepts (certification preferred)
