Delhi Feed Mill Mechanic Level A (Day Shift)

Pay Rate: $31.55 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

• Safely performing all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems (i.e. fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance).
• Maintain required records, reporting in writing any uncorrected mechanical/electrical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor.
• Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (e.g. Maintenance Mechanic B, C and Trainees).
• Coordinating equipment downtime, services and problems with area operators and detecting potential mechanical/electrical problems and planning for repairs.

• 3-5 years of production equipment maintenance experience.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have ability to lead and train lower-level maintenance personnel.
• Physically, must be able to: Work in high places, climb ladders and stairs, work from ladders/scaffolds, also work in pits and silos (confined spaces).
• Bend, kneel and walk frequently.
• Move heave objects, lift and move 50 pounds,
• Mechanically, must: Be able to make decisions and judgments on an ongoing basis. Be familiar with all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Know the mill flow patterns, dry as well as liquid.
• Know the proper lubricating technique for all mill equipment.
• Be able to perform routine services and troubleshoot and repair all mill equipment.
• Be able to weld and fabricate to repair all mill equipment, and installation of new equipment as needed.
• Be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed and able to show up on time and as schduled.
