The Opportunity

The Team Lead - ILCMSleads the development and sustainment of our Individual Lamp Control & Monitoring System (ILCMS), LINC 360. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of Software, Firmware, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers. You will drive the successful delivery of new features, enhancements, and lifecycle support for our ILCMS products, ensuring quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

• Team Leadership:
  
  
  
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional engineering team (SW, FW, EE, ME) to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
  
  
  
  
• Product Development:
  
  
  
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of ILCMS products, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and release.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new features, enhancements, and product maintenance.
  • Work with Project managers to coordinate resources, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful project execution.
  
  
  
  
• Technical Leadership:
  
  
  
  • Guide the team in making sound architectural and technical decisions.
  • Review and approve technical designs, code, and documentation.
  
  
  
  
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  
  
  
  • Work closely with Product Management, Operations, and other internal/external stakeholders to align on requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
  
  
  
  
• Continuous Improvement:
  
  
  
  • Champion best practices in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
  
  
  
  
• Sustaining Engineering:
  
  
  
  • Oversee support and maintenance activities for deployed ILCMS products.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and field escalations.
  
  
  
  

The talent we want to inspire has...

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field); Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams (SW, FW, EE, ME), preferably in product development.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, control systems, communication protocols, and/or industrial automation.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, tracking, and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.

This would be a plus but not a must!

• Experience with airfield lighting control systems or related safety-critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA) and cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
