This is a THIRD SHIFT position, working Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am in Sycamore, Illinois. The advertised hourly pay includes the shift differential.

Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Responsible for driving and maintaining a safe and clean working environment, encouraging employees to act with integrity and safety.
- Contribute to special projects frequently, implementing kanban and kaizen initiatives.
- Working leader of a functional operations group, assisting and training team members in the performance of specific tasks.
- Delegate and provide direction to the team for the performance of specific tasks.
- Lead by example and motivate team members to contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, and safety.
- Initiate quality and productivity corrections and improvements in the workplace.
- Contribute to the creation and management of 6S principles.
- Communicate production metrics and optimization efforts.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to the production team, leadership, and vendors.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting daily department production.
- Ensure that all employees within area of responsibility are appropriately trained and/or cross-trained on job tasks and company/facility policies and procedures.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all equipment within area of responsibility, including notifying maintenance when assistance is required and performing or directing routine maintenance of equipment.
- Perform a variety of semi-complex production tasks including, but not limited to, advanced machine setups, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Provide feedback to the Manager/Supervisor on employee performance and development opportunities.
- Assist Manager/Supervisor in managing employee attendance and scheduling employee time off.
- Other related duties as directed by management.
- Regular, predictable attendance is essential to teamwork, timely information exchange, and meeting productivity requirements.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of relevant experience is required.
- One year of internal experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift 10 lbs. up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs for up to 64 inches, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, lift and carry 42 lb bucket 10ft, push and pull up to 50 lbs of force at waist height. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
- Must be able to continuously stand/walk and/or sit during a 9 - 10 hour shift, frequent squatting/crouching, reach, and bend.
Work Environment:
- Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
- May be humidity, noise, odors, dust
- Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment to ensure safety from exposure to hazardous materials/loud noise/heat/cold/other.
- May require overtime or on-call shifts.
Compensation Disclosure: The rate of pay for this position is $30.38/hour, this includes the 9% shift differential, plus $1.50/hour lead pay. This represents a good faith disclosure of compensation, which is the fixed starting rate for this position.
