GENERAL SUMMARY: A lead NP will provide functional support to a defined team of APPs in conjunction with their clinical practice duties. Functional leadership includes interviewing and participating in selecting new team members, assisting with APP onboarding, orientation reviews, performance feedback. Administrative leadership time at discretion of department/division. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training, experience, and privileges. Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing minimum. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
