Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Supervise crews of Archaeological Technicians during projects, ensuring the crew is following project-specific requirements for data collection.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Supervises crews of Archaeological Technicians during field projects.
  • Maintains field equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures the field crew is following project-specific requirements for data collection.
  • Conducts background research.
  • Writes simple technical reports under the supervision of more senior staff. and may assist with portions of proposals.
  • Assists Archaeologist with finding the necessary field personnel for specific projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology or above and a minimum of 3 years' related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of artifact identification, field methodologies appropriate to specific areas, regional culture history, soils, and stratigraphy.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
  • Registered Archaeologist (RA)
