Job Description General Responsibilities: Supervise crews of Archaeological Technicians during projects, ensuring the crew is following project-specific requirements for data collection. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. Supervises crews of Archaeological Technicians during field projects. Maintains field equipment and supplies. Ensures the field crew is following project-specific requirements for data collection. Conducts background research. Writes simple technical reports under the supervision of more senior staff. and may assist with portions of proposals. Assists Archaeologist with finding the necessary field personnel for specific projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology or above and a minimum of 3 years' related experience. Advanced knowledge of artifact identification, field methodologies appropriate to specific areas, regional culture history, soils, and stratigraphy. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
