What to Expect

The RoleTesla's Commercial Charging team is dedicated to building and scaling the world's largest, most reliable, and most convenient charging network. As our network grows, so do our operational commitments to customers and regulatory partners. We are seeking a data-driven Technical Program Manager to own the monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of our fleet's health. This role is critical to ensuring we meet and exceed our performance SLAs and compliance obligations globally. You will provide the analytical backbone for our operations, transforming raw metrics into actionable insights.

This role may sit out of Fremont, CA or Buffalo, NY.


What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end process for compliance and obligation reporting for key programs such as NEVI, NYSERDA, and other state/federal requirements
  • Continuously monitor fleet health against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving accountability across engineering and service teams
  • Take complete ownership of the preventative and predictive maintenance strategy for all charging assets. Utilize fleet performance data to define the justification, content, frequency, and tooling requirements for all maintenance activities
  • Translate fleet performance data and real-world customer impacts into compelling business cases, conducting cost-benefit analyses that justify preventative maintenance strategies and tooling investments
  • Lead deep-dive investigations into SLA misses and performance degradations, performing root cause analysis and tracking corrective actions through to completion
  • Partner with data science, software, and service engineering teams to define requirements for tools that improve our monitoring, reporting, and maintenance capabilities

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, data analysis, or a similar role in a high-tech environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs with strict SLAs, compliance requirements, or regulatory reporting obligations
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting; proficiency with SQL is required, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Grafana) is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in a role focused on fleet management, network operations, or infrastructure reliability is a significant plus
  • A genuine passion for Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy

    Expected Compensation
    $112,000 - $217,200/annual salary + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
