Parkhill is seeking an Internal Communications Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic and creative communications skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve communication challenges. This role, which reports into the Internal Communications Specialist, will contribute to omni-channel communications strategies, ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging, and engage employees through tailored, timely communications. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Responsibilities

    Author and monitor messaging and communications for omni-channel communication to advance internal communication initiatives that align with corporate branding, drive operational goals, and support People and Culture programs.
  • Design graphics to support messaging and align with company style standards using Canva or similar.
  • Maintain the company intranet alongside SMEs, content editors, and other administrators.
  • Partner to define and measure key performance metrics, analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings to improve communications strategies.
  • Build relationships and trust with our cross-functional partners, including People and Culture (HR), External Communications, Safety, Project Delivery, Business Development, Marketing, and Technology.
  • Maintain communications calendar.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with technical information.
  • Creative writing and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with AP Style writing and editing.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, or other tools used for tracking, reporting, and organizing.
  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.
