Overview

The CCSF Equipment Operator I is an essential role of Yusen Logistics Americas. The position is responsible for adhering to TSA's CCSF requirements, including cargo screening, documentation, and reporting suspicious activity, among other duties. Additionally, the role involves performing routine warehouse tasks related to equipment operation and material handling, such as receiving, storing, shipping, and transporting warehouse goods. Safety is a priority in this position.



Responsibilities

    Actively perform all screening according to the regulations in the most up to date IACSSP and any amendments according to the screening methods available and approved at the branch
  • Screen cargo at the piece level as required by the screening methods available
  • Perform alarm resolutions according to the most up to date IACSSP and any amendments
  • Report immediately any suspicious activity or screening alarms to the Screening Supervisor on duty
  • Examine contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, bills of lading and other records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare material for shipping, ensuring freight is properly packed, labeled and staged in designated areas with relevant documentation. Record shipment data, such as weight, space availability, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Reports damages, shortages, or nonconformance of material and/or documents to specifications.
  • Route material to designated areas in the warehouse using work devices, such as hand jack, hi-lo, packaging equipment. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse and cargo.
  • Complete on-hand process in accordance with company regulations, including use of a computer, use scanning devices and producing inventory and shipping reports.
  • Operates motorized equipment, including, but not limited to forklift, clamp, (see required certifications), cherry-pickers, motorized pallet jack, etc.
  • May be required to perform Freight Handler responsibilities, such as disassembling, reassembling, or repairing products, materials or equipment based on customer needs.
  • Utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product
  • Sorts, bales, weighs, loads, and recycles materials based on customer specifications


Qualifications

  • Forklift certification required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years year of related experience in warehousing or logistics industry required
  • Previous Forklift experience, a plus.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Apply and maintain a passed STA (Security Threat Assessment)
  • Is a citizen or national of the United States, or a Lawful Permanent
