The Principal Business Process & Technical Architect fosters strong relationships and partners closely with IT, Business Partners, Vendors, and others to support operational and strategic goals. Consults and advises Product Managers/Owners with planning and delivering major projects and continuous improvement business initiatives. This role performs the most complex analytical or administrative tasks requiring the application of advanced technical and business knowledge, skills, and creative insights to successfully improve business outcomes. The work typically involves ambiguity, and normally involves researching, problem-solving, designing, prototyping, testing, collaborating, negotiating, recommending, and implementing changes that are of significant value to the business and can be major disruption to end users. The work is varied and extremely complex in nature, applying skills such as analysis, planning, design, research, coordination, strategy, facilitation, benchmarking, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Operates with latitude for unreviewed action or decision making and involves matters which have a major bearing on the Company's business. Often leads projects or designated as a key Subject Matter Expert on corporate initiatives. Frequently consults on critical systems or projects. Has an advanced level of understanding of the interdependent processes and has earned the respect of department peers as well as counterparts outside the department and/or company. Has deep understanding of integrated processes and technology in the value streams that the department supports. Considered key Subject Matter Experts and sought after for knowledge and consultation. Leads or fills critical roles on major projects (e.g., >$1M in project costs or benefits). Continuously improves, innovates, and error-proofs complex processes and technology.
