Our expert trauma surgeons, specialty physicians and multidisciplinary team of trauma staff are ready 24 hours a day to care for every type of traumatic injury.

The Conrad Prebys Emergency and Trauma Center at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is a Level I center verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. It is also a private teaching hospital for trauma medicine. Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has a dedicated trauma floor with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), telemetry and medical/surgical bed capability. Experts from all disciplines come together as a team to provide immediate, comprehensive, and compassionate care. We collaborate with specialists every step of the way, from the scene of the injury through hospital care, discharge, follow-up care and rehabilitation.

Join Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Trauma Med/Surg Unit where you will provide comprehensive care of trauma med/surg and post-surgical med/surg patients at a level 1 trauma hospital. Trauma is a 22-bed unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 nurse to patient ratio per California Title 22 guidelines. It is a Model Care Unit that is fast-paced, and our care team work cohesively in this dynamic environment.

As an RN, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice including:
* Assessment, planning and implementing care.
* Evaluate patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
* With primary responsibility for the patients' care, you will be amongst a team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy, and individuality of every patient.
* You will have the support of your team to ensure optimal patient care and success in your role.

This is a 12-hour Full Time, Night Shift, position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
* One (1) year of recent RN experience (6 months in Inpatient Setting such as Acute Care, LTAC, Acute Rehab or SNF)
* California Registered Nurse License
* Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
* Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
* Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
* One (1) year of recent RN experience in Acute Care or LTAC
