The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified Acute Care performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintains quality of workflows, regulatory standards, and other complex pharmacy processes. Essential Job Function Maintains pharmacy workflow; including but not limited to compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, distribution of medication in compliance with current standards or obtaining a complete and accurate medication history based on organization standard. Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians. Serves as a mentor in the training and orientation of new employees. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives. Communicates effectively with team members in and outside of pharmacy, providing quality customer service. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience. Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
