Job Description

Weekend CMM Operator (3x12 Schedule)
Shift: Friday-Sunday | 3:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Training Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (first shift during training)
Reports To: CMM Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our quality team. In this role, you will perform Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspections on routed patterns and conduct core scan inspections to ensure products meet customer and engineering specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, supporting production flow, and identifying potential issues early in the manufacturing process.

This is a weekend shift position (3x12 schedule) with training conducted on first shift during the week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CMM inspection programs on incoming patterns following customer work instructions

  • Perform core scan inspections in accordance with documented procedures

  • Follow all department procedures in the event of an inspection failure, ensuring proper documentation and escalation

  • Perform minor de-flashing as necessary to ensure patterns can be properly inspected

  • Label non-serialized inspected patterns to maintain accurate data traceability

  • Monitor and record inspection results to maintain product flow and identify quality concerns

  • Assist with advanced tasks such as machine alignments, calibrations, and other quality-related activities as needed

  • Meet established production rates and accurately complete production time sheets

  • Follow all safety procedures and 6S standards for the work area

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work carefully with delicate inspection equipment

  • Basic computer skills or willingness to be trained

  • Ability to lift and move tools and equipment up to 35 lbs

  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English

  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, engineering, and team members
