We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Product Management leader to join the Marketing Data Science team within the Chief Data Office. The Sr. Director, Data & AI/ML Products will lead and manage a portfolio of data and AI/ML algorithm products that support Salesforce Marketing organization. This role is crucial for driving the vision of AI-powered marketing at Salesforce and enabling data-driven decisions at scale. This is a highly impactful role with the opportunity to directly influence Marketing strategy, operations, and investment allocation.

You will be responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, and execution for data and AI/ML algorithm products that inform business decisions, deliver campaign targeting and optimization, and power autonomous agents. You will partner with stakeholders across both Marketing and Marketing Technology organizations (e.g., Global Field Marketing, Events, Paid Media, Email Platform, Event Technology) to scope and develop scalable data and AI/ML solutions. You will also work closely with Marketing Data Warehouse, Analytics, Marketing AI/ML Algorithms, and Marketing Automation teams to deliver measurable business results.

In addition, you will manage a team of product managers, own the key metrics to measure the impact of your product portfolio, and serve as the thought leader for how we utilize data and AI/ML technology to transform B2B marketing.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making, innovation, and accountability.

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for foundational data products (e.g., responses, leads, opportunities datasets) and advanced AI/ML algorithms (e.g., attribution and marketing mix models, Lead Scoring, propensity models, recommendation systems).

  • Define and own a clear product vision and strategy for the entire portfolio of data and AI/ML products, aligned with Salesforce Marketing strategic objectives.

  • Translate business objectives into thoughtful product roadmaps, impactful product features, and measurement of business results.

  • Drive alignment on strategy and execution across executive leadership, Marketing stakeholders (e.g., Global Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Paid Media), and partner teams (e.g., Global Marketing Analytics, Marketing Automation).

  • Work closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to define requirements, assess technical feasibility, and ensure high quality algorithm delivery at scale.

  • Define and track product KPIs to measure product performance and business impact, including financial/ROI metrics.

  • Evangelize our product portfolio both internally and externally, participate in customer meetings to share our experience driving business value with Salesforce products.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D.in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Economics/Econometrics, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, etc.

  • 10+ years of product leadership experience, with at least 5+ years of experience managing a portfolio of data and AI/ML algorithm products at an enterprise scale.

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing and mentoring a team of product managers, quantitative analysts, or statistical/econometric/AI/ML modelers.

  • Working knowledge of SQL coding and proven ability to conduct quantitative analysis to drive data-driven product strategy, management, and decision making.

  • Understanding of the foundational concepts of database architecture, data models, and data pipeline engineering, as well as demonstrated knowledge of basic statistical analysis, AI/ML modeling principals and workflows, and MLOps best practices.

  • Proven ability to build and scale complex data and AI/ML systems in fast-moving, matrixed environments, while working effectively with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

  • Experience with B2B marketing concepts and technology stacks (e.g., CRM, CDP, Email Platform, Paid Media, Web) and marketing KPIs (e.g., pipe generation, MQLs, lead quality). Comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving technology and strategic environments.

  • Experience with design of experiment (i.e., A/B testing, multivariate experimentation), marketing effectiveness measurement (attribution, marketing mix, and causal inference modeling), and performance analytics.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to present complex technical concepts to audiences at all levels of an enterprise.

The typical base salary range for this position is $230,700 - $351,800 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $251,900 - $384,100 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
