The CES Authorization Clerk is responsible for reviewing, processing, and maintaining service authorizations related to Community Employment Services (CES) at Benchmark Human Services. This role ensures individuals in CES programs receive timely and accurate authorizations for the services they need. The clerk manages communication, documentation, maintains data integrity, and collaborates with internal staff and external agencies to support efficient service delivery.

This full-time remote role requires that candidates be located near Richmond, Fort Wayne, South Bend, or Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process CES service authorization requests.
  • Ensure all documentation meets Benchmark Human Services, state, and funding-source requirements.
  • Enter and maintain authorization data in internal systems and case management platforms.
  • Track authorization timelines, expirations, and renewals, providing timely notification to relevant staff.
  • Communicate with Employment Consultants, Benchmark billing clerk, and external agencies to obtain missing information or resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely processing of new, revised, or expiring authorizations.
  • Maintain electronic and physical records in compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards.
  • Support internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support related to CES authorization processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of administrative or data-entry experience (preferably in social services or related fields).
  • Prefer experience within Community Employment Services, human services, or vocational support programs.
  • Prefer familiarity with state or county authorization procedures or case management systems.
  • Prefer understanding of person-centered practices or employment service models.
  • Must be located in either Indianapolis, Richmond, Fort Wayne or South Bend, IN.
