Saint Therese at Oxbow Lake is seeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian to become part of our dedicated, compassionate team. For more than 15 years, our Brooklyn Park campus has supported seniors in living full, rewarding lives. With 142 independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments, along with 64 long-term and transitional care suites, Oxbow Lake is a vibrant, well-established community where meaningful connections come naturally.

This position is scheduled for daytime hours, Monday-Friday (48 hours per pay period) and offers the opportunity to make a daily impact through high-quality, person-centered nutritional care.


About the Role

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical nutrition care and programs for residents in alignment with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and nutritional best practices. This role blends clinical expertise, collaboration, and leadership within both care and culinary environments.

Key responsibilities include:




  • Implementing established nutrition care programs, including assessment, planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation, and education



  • Identifying residents at nutritional risk and maintaining required procedures and documentation



  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of nutritional components within the medical record



  • Participating in resident care conferences and contributing to individualized care plans



  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to address nutritional concerns



  • Providing nutrition education to residents and families as needed



  • Implementing and overseeing specialized or modified diets as ordered by physicians



  • Maintaining systems to ensure diet order accuracy and compliance



  • Overseeing meal preparation and service as designated on site



  • Partnering with the culinary team on recipe development, standardization, and menu planning



  • Monitoring food service operations for nutritional quality, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance



  • Reviewing menus for nutritional adequacy, presentation, and resident satisfaction




Qualifications

Education & Credentials




  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics



  • Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics)



  • Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice




Experience




  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility




Knowledge, Skills & Abilities




  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care and food service



  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills



  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team



  • Strong understanding of the nutritional needs of geriatric residents with diverse medical conditions



  • High commitment to customer service and person-centered care

Wage Range: $31.09 - $42.19 per hour, depending on experience.
