Your role

The purpose of the Japan Technical Training Manager (TM) is to lead the training and development of the Japan Service population and customers. In doing this, they will conduct and maintain the technical learning needs analysis and effectively manage the delivery of the technical training for our Japan Service population.

With operational responsibility for the management of Japan Technical Training Centers, they will ensure a high-quality training program is delivered, supporting all OSE/FSE certification throughout the region. Regular engagement with the Service Managers to forecast and coordinate required activities to support the development of the headcount throughout the region in coordination with the customer ramp requirements, ensuring technical training resources and training capability are in place at the right time.

  • University or formal training qualification or significant experience in a technical training role
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques - strong understanding of adult learning principles
  • Experience in the management/coordination of training activities
  • Computer literate with a strong command of MS Office suite including PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage and prioritize activities and workload
  • Ability to deliver the technical training as required (Advantageous)
  • Teamwork; the ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team to deliver a single, cohesive solution
  • CIPD or other recognised Learning & Development qualification (Advantageous)
  • Technical knowledge of abatement and/or vacuum pumps and related technologies (Advantageous)
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and content development (Advantageous)
  • Knowledge of learning management systems, web delivery tools and e-learning platforms (Advantageous)

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our (insert organization here) in Tokyo/Osaka, Japan (JP).
