Your role
Edwards (part of Atlas Copco) integrated the CTI and Polycold product lines into its Semiconductor Chamber Solutions Division in 2019. Our Haverhill site is the center of competence for Cryogenic pumps, while Monterrey focuses on Compressors. These sites work closely together, and this role will lead both locations to drive synergies, operational excellence, and a unified, competitive supply chain.
As General Manager, you will:
- Oversee both Product Companies, with the Monterrey GM reporting to you.
- Hold full responsibility for P&L and balance sheet.
- Lead operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Asset Management, NPI, Product design and Organisational Development.
- Drive cost leadership, innovation, and sustainable growth.
- Implement a standardized, multi-site manufacturing strategy aligned with corporate standards, emphasizing LEAN and VTPS for global transferability.
Main Responsibilites
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:
Safety
- Implement Vacuum Technique SHE Policy and drive zero-accident culture.
- Lead safety improvements in physical conditions and behaviors.
Quality
- Apply Vacuum Technique Quality Policy to deliver defect-free products.
- Enhance product and process quality through effective systems and regular PQM reviews.
- Promote a strong quality mindset ensuring compliance with global standards.
Delivery
- Achieve competitive lead times and reliable on-time delivery using lean practices.
Cost
- Own P&L and balance sheet; improve profitability through efficiency and cost reduction.
Product Development
- Manage innovative product portfolio aligned with customer and divisional needs.
- Reduce time-to-market via robust development processes and project management.
Supply Chain
- Maintain a flexible, reliable supply chain supporting quality, cost, and availability targets.
People
- Attract, develop, and retain talent; build diversity and succession plans.
- Drive engagement, empowerment, and cultural behaviors.
- Ensure workforce competence, flexibility, and strong shop-floor leadership.
- Fully implement Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS).
Other
- Manage local issues and collaborate across matrix organization.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Align engineering and operational topics between Haverhill and Monterrey sites.

- Have a university degree in engineering or a related discipline - or equivalent hands-on experience.

Have a Proven track record in:
- Operations Management - ideally within machining, electronics, or light assembly environments.
- Technical/Engineering Management, with strong exposure to NPI and managing complex, multidimensional projects.

Job location
This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Havherill, MA (US), United States (US). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
As General Manager, you will oversee operations across our U.S. and Mexico locations. This role involves regular travel between sites to ensure alignment, drive performance, and maintain strong leadership presence across both regions
