Duke Health Integrated Practice

Duke Health Integrated Practice comprises more than 110 primary and specialty outpatient clinics, extending the reach of Duke Health's mission across the state of North Carolina.

JOB SUMMARY

Manage the faculty compensation and incentive plans for all faculty including Regular rank and Non regular rank, orofacial pain medicine specialists, and basic sciences. Manages the communication process to faculty meeting regularly with faculty to explain comp plan details. Perform and oversee the payroll process including SOM/DHIP SEA changes. Coordinate the use and maintenance of all departmental systems supporting metrics analyses, contract administration, cost accounting, and other processes.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Administer monthly faculty compensation, and coordinate processing with the PDC and SOM. Maintain compensation profiles and interface with faculty relating to pay elements and compensation calculation inquiries. Manage systems set up for new faculty.
  • Manage the quarterly faculty clinical shift true-up process. Reconcile faculty hours worked and upload data to the compensation system. Generate and distribute management compensation reports relating to faculty along with compensation profile changes and true-up calculations.
  • Manage compilation of Vice Chair and Division Chief metrics, and calculation of incentives for faculty leaders based on performance measures.
  • Compile data for input to the faculty mid-year and final year distributions. Maintain the clinical incentive model and ensure that distributions are in accordance with compensation plan and DHIP policies.
  • Manage compilation of academic metrics for input to the PCA system and payment to faculty. Verify faculty accomplishments as appropriate and manage the timing and integrity of data uploads.
  • Prepare proforma which includes revenue, wRVUs, ASAs, and expenses related to compensation profiles.
  • Involved in the faculty onboarding process

  • Assist Anesthesiology leadership with data compilation in support of cost and financial modeling and pricing analyses including clinical growth. Set up allocation tools for cost pool distributions and activity cost analyses.



  • Provide accounting analysis, financial modeling, and reporting for departmental, DHIP contracts and outside agencies including Fair Market Value calculations for subsidy contracts, new initiatives and services.
    Works closely with Anesthesiology Leadership and other finance unit staff on assisting in the development, implementation and management of financial systems, cost accounting systems and/or financial policies and procedures as appropriate.



  • Maintain liaison with business unit financial managers to advise units regarding financial position, cash flows, accounts, budgets, budget requests and related financial matters.




  • Compile and input data for all industry surveys. Coordinate data requests and update Benchmarking information based on published survey results.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



  • Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
  • Work requires four years experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
