Description
The Compensation and Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational execution of the organization's payroll and compensation programs. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing, and designs compensation structures. The role will aim to attract, motivate, and retain talent while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The ideal candidate combines deep both compensation and payroll expertise with strategic thinking to drive total rewards excellence. Essential Responsibilities & Expectations Payroll Management: * Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employee groups (hourly, salary, and commissioned). * Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, IRS, DOL, etc.). * Audit payroll tax filings and resolve discrepancies. * Audit payroll reports regularly and partner with Finance and Accounting for reconciliation. * Serve as point of escalation for complex payroll issues. * Supervise Payroll Administrator Compensation Strategy & Operations: * Develop, implement, and manage compensation structures and all job grading systems. * Conduct market analyses and benchmarking studies using data from compensation data bases, surveys, and/or other providers. * Administer annual compensation programs including merit increases, bonuses, and equity (if applicable). * Partner with Director of Human Resources and Compensation Committee to ensure competitive offers and pay equity across the organization. * Ensure compliance with FLSA, equal pay, and internal equity standards. Compliance & Reporting * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compensation laws and payroll regulations. * Lead audits, including internal audits and government agency inquiries (e.g., DOL, IRS, EEOC). * Prepare compensation and payroll reports for executives, Finance, and auditors. Technology: * Administer and optimize payroll and compensation systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, etc). * Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. * Ensure accurate integration between HRIS, timekeeping (AX/D365), and payroll systems. Education
Bachelors of Human Resource Administration (required)
Experience
*3-5 years of experience in payroll and compensation administration.
*2-3 years of people leadership experience preferred. (required) Skills
