What you'll do:

The job of the security guard exists to guard and monitor the Carson branch premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules: additionally, may assist in other miscellaneous projects

  • Responsible to arrive before employees start time to unlock all gates and office doors
  • Supervise the main gate and all employees as they enter in and out of the company premises
  • Responsible to check in the chassis and vehicles and turn in the check-in sheet to bailment pool department
  • Responsible to document all transport on data log of incoming and outgoing vehicle
  • Responsible to maintain data log of all incoming and outgoing traffic from employees, customers and vendors through the entire day
  • Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized person
  • Required to familiarize with location of gas, water and electrical shut offs for assigned facility/building in case of emergency
  • Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of property
  • Examine doors, windows, gates other building entries and exits to ensure they are secure
  • Other duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned


What you need to be successful:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Experience: Security Guard, Loss Prevention, Guard
  • Computer Skills: Basic
  • Technical Skills: N/A
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: N/A
  • Preferred: Nice penmanship and great attention to detail
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
