Data Domain Manager

Rockland Trust Bank has an opportunity for a Data Domain Manager. This role is critical to the Bank's transition to a modern data stack, serving as the primary steward and analyst for key data domains or business units. This position will help to directly enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, automation, and improved decision-making across the Bank.

The Data Domain Manager will play a pivotal role in not only overseeing the accurate and timely reporting of domain and business unit data, but also acting as a data steward, guiding the organization in broadening data literacy and insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and financial reporting within the banking or financial services industry. This position will report to the Director of Data Governance.

Responsibilities

Data Management:

• Lead the development and implementation of robust data management processes for credit and loan portfolio data using Snowflake, SQL, PowerBI, Python, dbt, and Collibra and other cloud based data technologies.
• Act as a data steward, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Reporting Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive reporting strategy for credit and loan portfolios, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and design reports to effectively communicate portfolio performance.
• Develop detailed reports in Power BI.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and compliance, to understand reporting requirements and deliver insightful analyses.
• Actively contribute to broadening data literacy across the organization and present findings and reports to senior management, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Technology Integration:

• Lead effort to transfer reporting to new infrastructure and environment as the Bank engages a new enterprise data management strategy.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality assurance measures to validate the integrity of credit and loan portfolio data, conducting regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, data science, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in credit and loan portfolio data management and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Snowflake, dbt, Collibra, Power BI, Microsoft suite, SQL, Python, Alteryx
• In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to credit and loan portfolios.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams.
