Visa is seeking a seasoned Sr. Product Manager to join the Network Innovation, Payment Processing in Visa Acceptance Solution team. This dynamic role is pivotal in driving the development and deployment of innovative payment solutions and ensuring compliance with payment network processing rules and specification.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various Visa Acceptance Solutions teams such as various merchant facing application owners, product management, solution engineering, regional sales and client services, to develop, integrate, and manage payment acceptance solutions. She/he will stay ahead of evolving trends in the payments space to provide forward looking strategic advice to guide acceptance solution development. She/He will also act as a risk champion for the Payment Processing team to ensure the emerging and existing operational risk controls are properly documented, monitored and mitigated. This role sits within the Network Innovation of Payment Processing team in Visa Acceptance Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise: Well rounded knowledge of payment processing of Network/ Acquirer/ processors / Third Party Payment Enabling Agents models to guide product development. Capable of digesting and interpreting network and processor connection technical documentation to guide consistent front end processing design and data persistency across multiple internal applications in transaction processing. Basic understanding and working knowledge of API development and publication.
  • Program and Project Management: Create and manage detailed roadmaps and program management plans for processing compliance requirements and enhancement of payment network product initiatives.
  • Industry and Compliance: Stay abreast of industry changes, trends, payment network rules and compliance requirements, particularly related to transaction processing, fraud prevention, and cybersecurity trends. Analyze financial and brand impacts related to current and new mandates and ensure compliance requirements are integrated in product lifecycle management. Ensure Visa Acceptance Payment Processing capabilities are kept up to date with card network business enhancement/switch release cycles, continuously unlocking and releasing card network features to deliver value add to Visa clients and cardholders.
  • Collaboration: Establish close partnership with other Visa Acceptance Solution teams to oversee end to end user experience to drive holistic and efficient service design and build. Guide product development planning with compliance excellence as the core principle.
  • Risk and Compliance Championship: Work closely with Business Risk Partner and service as a key point of contact on Acceptance Solution Payment Processing. Lead the overall network compliance management and product risk assessment. Provide guidance, support, and fostering collaboration amongst sales, product and engineer teams to achieve Visa Acceptance Solutions compliance objectives.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Lead ongoing risk self-assessment for Payment Processing. Define and monitor Key Risk Indicators for the team, ensuring clear visibility of performance and compliance to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, communicating product impacts, compliance requirements, and program developments effectively.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, fraud prevention methods, intelligence, and analytics
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate them into strategic planning and program development
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the payments systems or cybersecurity industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans, roadmaps, and business cases
  • Excellent program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with global program rollouts and management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
