We are seeking an IT Infrastructure support person to support the IT needs of the Engineering department. This is a short term backfill position for the current resource on leave. The ideal candidate should have strong IT support experience, including endpoint troubleshooting, basic networking, SSL certificate management, and MS Windows server administration. They must be detail-oriented, capable of documenting complex environments, and comfortable collaborating with clinical and technical teams. A proactive mindset to identify risks and improve processes is essential, along with the ability to learn and adapt to specialized medical device integration requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Document all local admin accounts, service accounts, and vendor-supplied passwords for systems and medical devices; store securely in Secret Server.
* Identify immediate security and operational red flags (e.g., Windows 7 PCs, outdated Windows 10 systems, manual patching processes).
* Create and maintain a database or spreadsheet of all key vendor contacts and their information.
* Install and maintain SSL certificates on Biomed devices.
* Provide Tier 2/3 support for biomed and clinical systems.
* Perform physical rounds to monitor critical integration servers and equipment.
* Escort and supervise vendor technicians requiring remote or physical access to biomedical resources.
* Review integration logs to identify devices failing to send data and troubleshoot root causes (e.g., Wi-Fi issues, misconfigurations).
* Conduct patch reviews and cross-reference vendor-approved lists before deployment.
* Configure networking settings (DHCP/static IP, VLAN) for new equipment intake.
* Perform asset inventory and reconciliation.
* Review vulnerability scans with InfoSec and create mitigation plans for discovered risks.
* Participate in project meetings and provide updates on IT-biomed integration efforts.
* Identify clinical devices running on operating systems nearing end-of-life and plan replacements or isolation strategies.
