W eston is seeking a Project Manager to take a prominent role in our water and w astewater p ractice. The Project Manager is a front-line , client-focused role that works directly with s takeholders to understand project needs and leads teams to deliver services to meet those requirements . The role is responsible for networking with their clients to identify and define project opportunities , develop and negotiat e proposals, build teams of technical staff and subconsultants to execute work, maintain quality and risk management processes to ensure that the work remains on track, and deliver according to project scope, schedule, and budget. Only candidates with a Professional Engineers license in a state in at least one of the states listed below, and with this demonstrated experience with wastewater sector clients will be considered for this position.
Location: Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, or South Carolina. This position requires m oderate travel for site visits and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.

  • Serves as a project manager for several concurrent wastewater projects that may vary in scope, size, and complexity.
  • Execution of all work professionally, safely, and ethically according to company values.
  • Engage regularly with clients to continually expand and strengthen trust-based relationships. Effective proposal development resulting in the award of new work with clients.
  • Highly competent technical leadership resulting in successful project delivery.
  • Meticulous project financial management resulting in consistently profitable work.
  • Sustaining and growing client relationships and identifying and winning follow-on work.
  • Engages staff through recruiting and mentorship to build and strengthen the team.
  • Diligent and timely compliance with and implementation of company business practices.
  • Active and effective management of subconsultants performing services on projects.
  • Regular participation in local professional societies and associations for networking.
  • Maintains a Professional Engineer license in applicable state for employment duration.
  • Maintains a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates in business development efforts including proposal preparation, new projects and client identification.
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring potential employees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilites:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in or ability to obtain reciprocity in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, and/or South Carolina.
  • 15+ years of experience in the field water or industrial wastewater process engineering, design, construction support and start-up.
  • Recent experience assessing and designing biological treatment systems for water and wastewater applications.
  • Wastewater collection and treatment and water treatment and distribution client experience and knowledge.
  • Project management experience, including project financial management responsibility.
  • Strong entrepreneurial interest to engage clients to identify and win new projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to recruit, build, mentor, and foster an engineering team as a leader.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $101,988-$135,198-$168,100
