Weston is looking for a mid- to senior level, licensed Professional Engineer with a background in biological treatment required for wastewater treatment. The ideal candidate will have a range of experience in the assessment and design of existing and new systems, experience working at and with remediation systems and industrial treatment operations. The selected candidate will have a proven track record participating in teams in multi-discipline designs, field commissioning operations, and have a strong sense of community learning and mentorship.

Location: Connecticut, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience, 10 preferred in the field of biological treatment.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in or ability to obtain reciprocity in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
  • Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, detailed oriented, and demonstrated follow through.
  • AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Support civil, chemical, and environmental engineering projects, including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design and water distribution system design.
  • Assess and design biological treatment systems for water and wastewater applications.
  • Recent experience with process engineering for water or wastewater applications.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on design and field commissioning operations.
  • Provide technical expertise for remediation systems and industrial treatment operations.
  • Provide technical approach concepts for presentations to clients and proposals.
  • Quantify effort for preparing designs.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to community learning within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare design drawings, specifications, and calculation packages within area of practice.
  • Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates.
  • Preparation of contract documents for construction; bid and award services; and construction phase engineering services.
  • Coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative staff.

This position will require moderate travel and field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $93,993-$124,333-$154,570
