Human Resource Coordinator
Oroville Reman and Reload located in Oroville, WA employs 120+ employees. We process rough lumber through several finishing centers to create various finished products. In addition, we reload products from Canada to the USA via truck and rail. Job Summary Support all hourly and salary employees o Understand and communicate Washington state employment law o Work with plant committee to update and maintain company handbook. Work with Supervisors in a collaborative approach o Hiring of new employees o New Hire orientation and onboarding o Training to increase skill and build organizational depth Work and communicate with payroll o Leave programs o Benefits o Employee turnover Manage internal and external job postings Support progressive discipline program Support employees during incident investigation including drug and alcohol program Work with corporate HR group to synchronize company policies Work with 3 rd party organizations including: Vigilant, Employment Security, and Work Source.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following qualities and qualifications: Ability to act with a high degree of professionalism, ethics and integrity Be approachable by all employees Must have strong interpersonal skills o The ability to listen, be empathetic, flexible, patient, open minded and fair Be trustworthy and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality
Have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and delegate Work well under pressure and have the flexibility to change during fluid situations The ability to communicate information to the appropriate audience in a timely manner Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Sound judgment with strong decision-making skills Form one’s own opinions and challenge management and employees to improve Computer literate and Proficient in MS office Previous experience and/or education in Human Resources is an asset. Desire to learn and understand Washington State employment laws, rules and regulations. Knowledge of UKG Pro HRIS systems.
