Store Backroom Attendant - The Salvation Army
Location: Mission, KS Pay: $13.75/hour Schedule: Part-Time (25 hours/week) Make a difference every day. The Salvation Army Thrift Stores help fund life-changing programs through the Adult Rehabilitation Center. As a Store Backroom Attendant, you play a vital role as the first point of contact for donors while supporting backroom and production operations.

What You'll Do
Greet donors with exceptional customer service
Receive, unload, and process donations
Ensure the donation area stays clean, safe, and well-organized
Sort donations and prepare items for production
Load/unload Salvation Army trucks (as needed)
Power-sort incoming materials (where applicable)
Protect all donated goods and equipment
Report complaints, safety concerns, and damaged items
Advise donors on acceptable donation materials and pickup options
What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or currently enrolled
Strong verbal communication skills
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to pass a background check
Flexible availability (weekends, evenings, holidays)
Physical Requirements:
Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout shift
Comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions
