Location: Remote/Virtual - Must work and Live in the State of Michigan



Purpose: The Michigan Cluster and Outbreak Response Enhancement (MiCORE) Operations and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Quality and Evaluation (Q/E) Unit, located within the Data and Operations Division of the Bureau of HIV and STI programs (BHSP). In this role, the MiCORE Operations and Logistics Coordinator will support the MiCORE project's administrative and logistical needs. Responsibilities include coordinating workplans, contract oversight, logistics planning, and documentation related to the MiCORE project. Additionally, the MiCORE Operations and Logistics Coordinator.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide program and administrative support for the MiCORE project and project team.
  • Collaborate engagements between network detection and response (NDR) team to access possible MiCORE team engagement and potential support
  • Coordinate meetings between local health departments (LHDs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), funded agencies, and EHN Team as needed for cluster investigations involving MiCORE interventions.
  • Conduct, plan, and facilitate regular meetings with the MiCORE Team and funded agencies to ensure program continuity.
  • Coordination of groups, surveys, and/or town halls in partnership with the MiCORE needs as deemed appropriate by the outreach strategy.
  • In partnership with the MiCORE team, prepare, draft, and disseminate PowerPoint presentations, factsheets, annual reports, and other project deliverables outlined in the CDC grant deliverables.
  • Assist the MiCORE Evaluation Specialist in collecting, and maintaining MiCORE program data necessary to meet CDC reporting requirements.
  • Monitor on-going program operations and recommend modifications of policies and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness of the MiCORE program.
  • Oversee and coordinate incentives for MiCORE initiatives and outreach activities.
  • Prepare logistical arrangements for meetings including creation of agendas, taking meeting notes, and documenting action items.
  • Serve as the primary contact between BHSP and funded MiCORE agencies.
  • Provide funded agencies with MiCORE technical assistance as needs are identified.
  • Monitor funded agency's MiCORE workplan activities and budgets and provide feedback on quarterly reports and financial status reports (FSRs)
  • Support scheduling needs for the MiCORE project, including organizing internal meetings, collaborative meetings with external partners, and presentations.
  • Oversee internal workplan to ensure CDC objectives are met for Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs).
  • Assist with the planning of the annual MiCORE project meeting.
  • Maintain, records, and prepare reports and internal/external correspondences related to MiCORE activities.
  • Update and provide quarterly situation reports in collaboration with the MiCORE team to present to BHSP leadership on a quarterly basis.
  • Participate in all required meetings and trainings including confidentiality and security training and signing oath of confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager.
  • Always represent the best interests of MPHI and MDHHS.



Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience performing program support activities.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This position will work remotely but is subject to change according to departmental policy. Local, state and out-of- state travel may be required for in-person meetings.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position has a direct impact on the quality of services provided by MPHI to MDHHS.Performs as a critical member of a team of professionals working to reduce transmission of HIV and to ensure access to and retention in care for persons in Michigan infected with HIV.
