What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activities within the location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding staff and/or visitors during incidents.
• Document and report any unusual occurrences, security-related incidents, and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
• Work assignments may include duties in the hospital morgue.
• Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
