Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Full Time in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, including specialized areas such as vaccine storage and the morgue. Your presence will help to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to situations requiring intervention, such as restraining individuals when necessary. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and promoting a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any suspicious, unusual, or unsafe conditions, promptly communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as needed, and helping to maintain order within the location.
  • Support the enforcement of organizational rules and regulations, addressing minor conflicts and/or disturbances in a professional manner.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Assignment may involve working in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
