The Dean of Students department is seeking 1 Administrative Coordinator to join the already awesome team taking the department to the next level of excellence!

The Administrative Coordinator for The Dean of Students, will work on the Alpharetta campus.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the supervision of the Director for Student Engagement, this position provides administrative and organizational assistance to the Dean of Students office & Office of Student Life which includes, but is not limited to, managing the office front desk, greeting visitors/students/faculty/staff, answering telephones, and maintaining departmental budgets. Perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed such as data entry and maintaining tracking logs. Provides students with information about university policies, deadlines, resources. Provides support to student organizations, paying vendors for services provided to the department or entities under the purview of the office of student life. Creating room reservations, preparing, and supporting office programming events, submitting facility work orders, maintaining service contracts for office equipment, and orders while maintaining office supply inventory. May complete eligibility verification for student leaders (using Banner) and assist with supervision of student assistants. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one-year administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and five years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Preference may be given to those who possess an associate's degree and prior experience working in higher education.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Familiarity with organizing digital files and updating templates or internal documentation.
  • Experience using office scheduling or calendar systems (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Typing speed above 40 words per minute
