Department: Project Management Job Type: Regular Full Time Education Level: BA/BS Required Years Experience: 10 Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.
The Director Enterprise Portfolio Manager oversees the strategic alignment, prioritization, and delivery of projects across the organization to ensure optimal value delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities include annual planning, on-going BU/CU/ITS portfolio analysis and performance monitoring, project financial management, stakeholder communication, leadership, and driving strategic portfolio management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Portfolio Planning and Management: Ensure that all projects and programs within the enterprise portfolio align with the strategic plan, collaborating with senior leadership to set and adjust strategic direction. Oversee the selection, prioritization, and scheduling of projects based on business values, dependencies, strategic important while managing resource constraints.
* Resource Management: Support Resource Management Office with the allocation of resources efficiently across projects to maximize value delivery, as needed. Ensure that resource utilization aligns with BU/CU/ITS portfolio priorities. * Stakeholder Management: Communicate enterprise portfolio performance, risks, and changes to stakeholders while managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Manage the impact of changes within the enterprise portfolio, ensuring smooth transitions and change adoption. * Project Financial Management: Providing oversight, monitoring and reporting of the enterprise portfolio financials including budget vs. forecast and managing cashflow. Works closely with the Project Managers and Resource Management Office for project status and impact. * Risk and Dependency Management: Oversee interdependencies, assess risks, identify mitigation strategies and contingency plans, and ensure adaptive responses to changing conditions. * Governance, Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and enforce enterprise portfolio and project governance frameworks. Track and report on enterprise portfolio performance. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess enterprise portfolio health. * Continuous Improvement: Encourage and support continuous improvement initiatives within the enterprise portfolio. Foster a culture where feedback is valued, and lessons learned applied to enhance enterprise portfolio performance. * Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration. * Other duties may be assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Currently, hybrid work environment, which requires working in CPG's office Tuesdays through Thursdays and flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
