Unit Information:
The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital is a 51-bed level lll-lV unit. This is the largest ICU in the state of Maine. We have single rooms with state of the art equipment and work closely with all disciplines- surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc. We have Neonatologists and APP's covering 24/7 with a nursing staff of 150. We have an active critical care transport team and a nurse driven PICC Team.Neonatal Intensive Care Unit -31 beds & Continuing Care Nursery - 20 Beds.

Schedule Details:

  • Part-time, night-shift position.
  • Self-Scheduling structure.
  • 2, 12-Hour Shifts.
  • Every 3rd Weekend

Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.
