The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. What You'll Do: Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert clinical staff to changes Review patient data to identify patterns and variances Work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure patient safety Be a calm, focused presence during overnight hours What You'll Need: Education:High school diploma or GED Training:Completion of a monitor tech courseorpassing score (85%) on our competency exam Certification:CRAT certification within 1 year of hire Skills:Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and quick decision-making under pressure Experience:Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required-we'll train you!
