Summary:
Belcan is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support a high-impact supply chain quality initiative. This role will monitor supplier performance, drive root cause investigations, and ensure conformance to quality standards and delivery expectations. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams across engineering, commodities, and manufacturing to resolve issues and improve quality outcomes across the supply base.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in supplier quality, root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and a working knowledge of aerospace quality systems such as AS9100 and AS9102.

Key Responsibilities:
*Act as the supplier quality focal, monitoring supplier performance, delivery status, and quality metrics
*Track parts using ERP systems, WIP visibility, purchase orders, and line-of-balance tools
*Identify, escalate, and support resolution of component-level non-conformances and receiving inspection issues
*Lead or support RCCA activities in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders (engineering, commodities, manufacturing, quality)
*Review and contribute to supplier scorecards and KPI dashboards; develop action plans for underperforming suppliers
*Conduct or support supplier audits to evaluate quality system compliance
*Review and approve Supplier First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, identifying gaps and driving completeness and accuracy
*Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs); analyze responses for repeat or high-impact issues
*Provide input to the Supplier Development team on trends, systemic issues, and recommended actions

Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in quality or manufacturing engineering
*Background in supplier quality, manufacturing, and aerospace supply chain
*Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace quality management systems
*Willingness to travel to supplier locations for audits, inspections, or quality reviews
*Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience working with composite and/or metallic part suppliers
*Familiarity with AS9102 (FAI) and AS9145 (APQP/PPAP)
*Experience in non-conformance handling, inspection processes, and supplier risk assessment

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $40.00-50.00 per hour.
