Moog Industrial Group is seeking a Quality Transformation Manager.

You will lead the development and deployment of systems, behaviors, and processes that strengthen operational quality and advance our Shingo based transformation.

Your role focuses on embedding the principles of Operational Excellence, TWI (Training Within Industry), and the Shingo Model into daily work across manufacturing, assembly, and test operations. Working cross functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Compliance, this leader ensures quality is designed into every process, driving continuous improvement, empowering people, and reinforcing our strategic pillars of Customer Focus; People, Community, and Planet; Financial Strength.

You will have Quality Transformation Engineers report directly to you, supporting this mission through hands-on coaching, system implementation, and continuous improvement leadership.

You will report to the Site Manager in Murphy, NC.

As a Quality Transformation Manager you will be responsible for the following...

Shingo Transformation Leadership

  • Advances the Shingo implementation roadmap and assessments; translate insights into practical, daily-system improvements.

  • Facilitate workshops, gemba coaching, and behavioral observations to embed Shingo principles and ideal behaviors.

  • Integrate enabling systems (daily management, tiered accountability, Leader Standard Work, A3 thinking) to ensure sustainability.

Operational Quality System Development

  • Design and deploy robust quality processes that deliver right first time performance across manufacturing and assembly.

  • Lead root cause and corrective action (A3/8D) with strong verification of effectiveness and learning capture.

  • Integrate quality planning into NPI, process changes, and risk management (PFMEA/Control Plans) to prevent defects.

  • Establish actionable in process quality metrics and visual dashboards that enable proactive decision making.

TWI and Capability Development

  • Embed TWI Job Instruction (JI), Job Relations (JR), and Job Methods (JM) into the plant training system.

  • Ensure standard work is defined, trained, and auditable; reinforce skill progression through a capability matrix.

  • Coach Group Leaders and Supervisors on teaching/coaching techniques and behavioral consistency.

Continuous Improvement and Cultural Alignment

  • Champion a culture of learning, accountability, and respect for every individual; model humility and curiosity.

  • Facilitate kaizen events focused on stability, error proofing, waste elimination, and flow.

  • Connect improvement outcomes directly to customer satisfaction and strategic pillar objectives.

Collaboration and Integration

  • Partner with the Compliance Manager to align operational quality with ISO and regulatory requirements.

  • Support supplier development, internal audits, and layered process confirmation for operational performance.

  • Leverage corporate quality/OpEx networks to share and adopt best practices.

To be considered for the Quality Transformation Manager will need the following...

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related technical field (master's preferred).

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in quality management

  • Proven experience managing quality across multiple business units or product lines.

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Embodies Respect for Every Individual; leads with humility and develops others.

  • Thinks systemically; aligns behaviors, systems, and tools to principles.

  • Data driven, customer focused, and comfortable from shop floor to executive level.

Salary Range Transparency:

Murphy, NC $100,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
