Responsibilities

  • The Director of Quality and Infection Prevention leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's quality, patient safety, performance improvement, and infection prevention programs.
  • This role ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and promotes a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • The Director provides strategic direction and operational oversight to drive improvements in clinical outcomes, infection control, and overall healthcare quality.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related clinical field
  • Current Texas RN license if applicant is a nurse.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare quality and infection prevention.
  • Experience in a hospital or large healthcare system.
  • Proven leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
