Honors Carolina is a four-year academic program geared toward the top 10% of undergraduates at UNC, and is comprised of a remarkable collection of courses, study abroad programs, special events, career development, and other learning opportunities. This housekeeper position provides cleaning and event set-up services for Graham Memorial. Duties include upkeep of lounge, classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas; floor maintenance; trash collection; assisting with furniture and equipment set up for large and small events; occasional special projects such as painting, pressure washing, and leaf blowing.

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. NOTE: Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

Ability to follow directions and follow safety guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Ability to read and understand room diagrams and multiple planning calendars.

Prior experience in janitorial service.

Must be able to move up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
