The Undergraduate People Team Development Program at UnitedHealth Group. As a part of this program, you will help attract, lead, support, and reward our most valuable assets: our high caliber people. The People Team Undergraduate Program is a two-year development experience designed for early career professionals interested in Human Resources. This program consists of multiple rotations and provides cohort-based exposure, development opportunities, and curriculum to set you up for a successful career on the People Team at UHG.

**This full-time position will be available starting Summer 2026**

**You will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four days per week in Minnesota office**

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides broad exposure to multiple businesses and HR functions while focusing on developing core competencies within each function
  • Identify your interest in HR through project and team-based work, designed to challenge you and build out your skillset
  • Support teams with ad-hoc requests as assigned by program director or manager
  • Fosters trusting relationships among your cohort peers
  • Receive guidance from People Team mentors and program alumni

This program is designed to help you understand entry-level core HR competencies while allowing you to explore your interests in a variety of our People Team functions. Potential rotations include:

  • Employee Relations & Employee Center
  • Early Careers
  • Analytics
  • Total Rewards
  • Talent Development

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Industrial Labor Relations, Business Administration,or related field with graduation by June 2026
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization(F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiringH-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
