CAS is currently seeking a Data Management, Technical Manager. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Summary:

The Data Management Technical Manager role is responsible for leading business analysis and strategic initiatives within the Finance Division. This expert professional manages assignments and projects with creativity in planning and delivering solutions. Manages the implementation of existing business analysis principles while contributing to the development of new processes for the functional area. Supports the achievement of goals by influencing stakeholders across the organization and is accountable for results that impact both the functional area and enterprise. This role has no direct people management accountability but may manage people indirectly through project teams.

Job Accountabilities:



  • Lead development and implementation of projects that impact the functional area, identifying opportunities for business process improvements


  • Own end-to-end management of the Enterprise Success Dashboard to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable reporting of our key enterprise business performance metrics.
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document complex business requirements using JAD sessions, user story mapping, process modeling (BPMN), and use case development; manage requirements traceability and change control
  • Conduct current-state and future-state process mapping in support of automation initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and designing optimized workflows
  • Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, assessing and prioritizing user needs while ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights that inform critical business decisions; translate business questions into analytical requirements and validate solutions
  • Monitor project deliverables and timely completion of activities; identify and communicate threats with appropriate mitigating actions to stakeholders


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant business analysis experience including 2 or more years in a lead or supervisory position
  • Proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-level projects to successful completion
  • Expert ability to elicit, analyze, validate, and document complex business requirements using multiple techniques including JAD (joint application development) sessions, user story mapping, process modeling (BPMN), data flow diagrams, and use case development. Proficiency in managing requirements traceability and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond immediate project needs and identify how initiatives connect to broader business strategy. An ideal candidate excels at root cause analysis, gap analysis, and developing innovative solutions to complex business problems that may span multiple departments or systems.
  • Advanced expertise in current-state and future-state process mapping, identifying inefficiencies, and designing optimized workflows. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly valuable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and manage expectations across all organizational levels, from end users to C-suite executives. You must be skilled at negotiating priorities, resolving conflicts, and achieving consensus among diverse stakeholder groups with competing interests.
  • Proficiency in translating business questions into analytical requirements. Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, and the ability to work with data to validate requirements and measure success.
  • Strong understanding of systems architecture, database concepts, APIs, and modern technology solutions. While not a developer, you should be technically fluent enough to bridge communication between business and IT teams, understand technical constraints, and evaluate solution feasibility. Experience with data analytics and reporting systems (SQL Server, Tableau, Snowflake, Power BI, data warehousing, etc.) required.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio; Must be able to prepare presentations and present to various audiences
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members and cross-functional partners. May supervise and coordinate activities of finance staff or project teams. May determine methods and procedures for new finance initiatives, guided by department leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


        Preferred:



        • MBA or master's degree in a related discipline
        • Experience in financial systems, business process systems, and order management systems
        • Formal project management experience or certification
        • Experience with change management methodologies
