| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
Auxiliary Services provides a variety of services and products in a convenient and customer-oriented manner to enhance the quality of campus life for student, faculty, staff, and visitors. These services include: Armored Car, Carolina Dining Services, Carolina Managed Print Services, Laundry,
PID Office, Print Stop Printing, Student Store,
UNC One Card Office, University Mail Services, and Vending. |
| Position Summary |
The One Card Staff is the first point of contact at the front counter of the One Card Office. This position primarily handles financial transactions, card creation, and data/document processing; all delivered with superior customer service and accuracy.
Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries via phone and the One Card email inbox, participating in the planning and execution of student orientation by creating student work schedules and working with the Print Shop to develop printable materials, and serving as a resource for student employees and staff regarding questions and work-related issues.
Other responsibilities include maintaining office supply levels by auditing, creating, and managing supply lists for vendors; balancing cash registers; and sorting and distributing office deliverables. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Excellent written communication skills. Ability to respond to customer queries via phone, email, and letters.
Ability to discuss and answer questions politely and accurately, adjusting language to meet the needs of the recipient.
Extensive experience using Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.
Information/Records Administration: Ability to manipulate data in reports for processing.
Ability to monitor budgets accurately and effectively. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Administrative/front desk experience. PeopleSoft and
CSGOLD systems experience also preferred. |
