Certified Medical Coders - Outpnt & ED (000296)

We are seeking experienced Certified Medical Coders to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient and emergency department coding, with proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, and Encoder. A thorough understanding of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, and federal billing guidelines is essential, along with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. The ability to research coding-related issues and competence in coder training are also required. Candidates must have CCS certification and be familiar with the 3M/HDS coding application.

• High School Diploma/GED
• AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS

• Three years of experience in medical coding
• Knowledge of ICD10
• Experience with EPIC and 3M is required
• Inpatient and outpatient coding experience is ideal
• CCS Certification is required
