The General Accounting Sr. Finance Analyst, Sales Accounting position is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and optimizing customer incentive programs, including rebates, prebates, equipment, and other incentives. This position demands a high level of expertise in ensuring the accuracy of program accruals, issuing payments, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting for our customer incentive programs

    • Oversee the collection and organization of all contracts and agreements related to customer incentives.

    • Ensure precise accruals and maintain robust support documentation for these accruals.

    • Lead the setup and ongoing maintenance of Oracle Channel Revenue and NADB systems.

    • Execute month-end journal entries, reporting, and reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

    • Participate in month-end close meetings with Finance teams to review accrual accuracy and discuss new or expiring contracts.

  • Reviewing/issuing customer incentive payments

    • Validate payment amounts in collaboration with Finance teams.

    • Conduct thorough reviews of customer credit/debit memos within the OnBase workflow, NADB ARJV.

    • Manage the issuance of payments and credits to customers using AOM, OnBase, SWEEP, and the Payment Request Tool.

  • Amortizing/reconciling contract incentives (prebates/equipment)

    • Establish assets in the Fixed Assets systems for amortization over the agreement's lifespan.

    • Ensure proper categorization of short-term and long-term assets.

    • Reconcile the General Ledger to the Sub-Ledger with precision.

    • Oversee the retirement and transfer of assets as necessary.

  • Respond promptly and accurately to requests from Audit and Tax departments regarding customer incentives.

  • Provide strategic input to improve the accuracy of accruals and minimize manual entries and adjustments to the Ledger and Sub-Ledgers.

  • Assist with testing and implementations as necessary with new systems or other integrations and process improvements with Finance Transformation.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Preferred:

  • MBA or pursuing MBA
  • CPA or pursuing CPA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines, especially during month-end close.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies, suggest improvements, and reduce manual entries/adjustments.
  • High level of accuracy in compiling contracts, issuing payments, and maintaining financial records.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of fixed assets management, including asset categorization, amortization, and reconciliation processes.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • MS Office with proficiency in Excel
  • Clear and concise communication in verbal and written form
  • Strong analytical skills
  • General accounting knowledge

Preferred:

  • Experience with rebate management software
  • Experience with Oracle, AOM, Business Objects, OnBase
